Really fun day out. Great picnic benches and park at the end of the railway, then take a train back or walk around the lake.
Stopped here for some breakfast . Great for kids with all the miniature steam trains .
There are tons of things to do at the Coate Water Country Park.Fishing, strolling the by the various lakes and great to take family for just taking a relaxing day doing nothing. Always a favourite place. Again, location is good for outside tourists as well as it is just off the M4 J15(5 mins) from the M4 and you are there. If you prefer, enjoy the golf as well, next to the lakes. I personally prefer to take a walk round the big lake

Lovely nature park lakes and walks around it. The ducks/geese/swans are just a bit aggressive if you wanted to have a picnic here. The miniature steam railway is the jewel in the crown though, and wonderful for the children (as well as adults!) The railway takes you to a wonderful kids playground, a picnic area and walkways to and around the lakes.
