We have received very, very poor service from this branch of Beales. We were not kept up to date with our chain at all (we were the bottom purchasers). There was no sense of urgency or direction. When we called for updates there was no idea of timescales, and time frames weren't being communicated to the rest of the chain. More information was found when my partner and our sellers decided to undertake a round of calls to solicitors to chase the state of affairs. This was completed in one afternoon and bore more information than had previously been communicated to us through months of a transaction. The final piece to add to the bad service was when we pulled out. We had our first reply to an email in weeks confirming they had received our email, but there was little more than apathy in the tone. They did however state they would inform the seller. They did not do this. 5 hours after us withdrawing from the process we text the seller to basically apologise for pulling out and wish them well going forward, but text them on the understanding that Beales would have informed them by that point. As they hadn't informed them it left us utterly embarrassed that we were the ones to inform them (and over text) that the sale would no longer be going ahead. So from a purchasers point of view, and no doubt the sellers we had looked to buy from, we were thoroughly disappointed in our experience and certainly would not look to their services again and would actively discourage friends from engaging with them.
Overall the best lettings agent I've used, I now use them to manage all my properties. The service I received from your team in the Eastleigh branch was excellent. They have been really helpful and nothing was too much trouble particularly from the after letting perspective. They kept me calm and directed me through an extremely trying time! Nothing was too much trouble and that I really could request anything they were pleased to cater to anything I needed.
