A very small Museum, with a few interesting bits & pieces.
Go with your kids or grandchildren. Theres a small but enchanting mix of steam age memorabilia, with well-informed commentary from the heart of a railway community. Nice bit of fixed down brio keeps my grandsons happy for ages. There are also temporary arts / crafts shows in the rear-most gallery usually to a theme with wide range of interpretation, skill levels and painterly values for your delectation.
Lovely Christmas Tree exhibition on at the moment in December, also fab for a quiet drink and ponder round the exhibits
Celebrates Eastleigh as a railway town, plus exhibitions by Hampshire Cultural Trust. Hot drinks, snacks and locally produced honey, jam, birthday cards, etc for sale.
Nice museum. Like that they have some toys in there for children to play with. Nice little shop. Didnt give it 5 star because the display at the front of the museum has been the same for about 25 years, shame it cant be changed regularly!
