Receptionist is so rude and needs to be dealt with. Went for an appointment with MW and got told I've got a possible infection but my results would take 72 hours to come back however if I'm in serious pain I need to get seen by the gp aswell and they would prescribe me something. Went to book an appointment to see my gp only to be told i won't be allowed an appointment as they need my original dip. Cannot believe the receptionist expected me to go back up to my MW and get her to get it out the waste bin. Absolutely appauling service and now have to await 111 to give me an appointment whilst being in excruciating pain and not able to take anything for it

Despite multiple complaints to the surgery, have yet had any interaction with practice manager. Called today to make an appointment for my vulnerable mum who can only see a specific doctor (who is amazing), once again I had to tussle with the exceptionally rude and nosey receptionist who was on duty this morning. Please note there is actually one or two nice receptionists but this one is always horrible and shouldn't be working in this environment. I called and asked for a phone appointment as it is impossible to schedule a visit with a specific doctor on the day and was asked in a very snotty tone "what's wrong with her?". This is not the business of anyone who is not medically trained and as I had my young son sat next to me, who doesnt need to concern himself my mum's medical needs, I found it quite difficult to say what her needs were (yet felt I needed to anyway) and made sure to tell the receptionist this. The receptionist scheduled a call but failed to double check the number to call. I had to reiterate that if the doctor couldn't get hold of my mum, then I was the one who needed to be called as I have permission to speak for her. This receptionist and frankly, the practice manager are exceptionally rude in my opinion as I have yet to be contacted by said manager despite multiple serious complaints about how we have been treated by reception and some nursing staff over the past 18 months. I understand and appreciate that the NHS is being pushed to its limit and that it is difficult to make every patient happy. However, many people would be an awful lot happier at this surgery if they were being treated like humans by the staff in question and not like something disgusting on the sole of a shoe. I look forward to the practices response to this complaint, however, if past experience is anything to go by, it will probably be dealt with by silence. If it weren't for the one specific doctor that was exceptional in this practice, I would strongly suggest moving surgeries

Impossible to actually get an appointment, Told to phone back in 4 days time in the middle of the afternoon (ill be at work) in the hope i MIGHT get seen at some other point...

Ive been at this practice for 19 years and have had no problem until very recently. The staff are rude and seem to have no compassion whatsoever. I went in with a potential problem with my kidneys and bladder and the doctor told me to do a urine test and go sit in the waiting room with it. I had nowhere to hide it other than in my hand where other patients could see it. Children and adults were making comments and laughing. I was so embarrassed that I started crying. I then had to wait another 25 mins in the waiting room while this was going on. I can honestly say that every time I go there I take a step back with my mental health and that I feel like Im not in a safe place when talking to my doctor. Absolutely appalling service and patient care and after 19 years of going to this doctors practice, I am leaving.

Been at this practice for about ten years, and the receptionists have been unfailingly rude over that entire time. I realise that they have to deal with difficult people at times, but it's no excuse to treat everyone like an enemy. Some staff training on "how to treat people like humans" would be a wise investment.I've just increased the rating by one star, because I received a call from the practice to discuss the problems they're experiencing. They acknowledged that they have a problem with reception staff. If they're serious about training staff to treat patients like humans, then I might increase the rating further!
